A Common Collapse - It's Always Beard Season

This Gainesville metalcore/post-hardcore band burst onto the scene less than a year and a half ago, but you’d never guess that by their mature, clean sound.  With a scream range comparable to The Number Twelve Looks Like You and melodies similar to what Brandon Saller brings to Atreyu, there’s something in A Common Collapse for everyone to love.   

 

If you want a good idea of what you’re going to get from A Common Collapse, the track “It’s Always Beard Season” is going to leave you begging for more.  This track gives you an uncontrollable urge to head bob and snarl similar to what happened the first time you heard A Day to Remember’s “The Downfall Of Us All.”  It’s hard to make it through this track without paying specific attention to the guitars. There’s something intoxicating about them here that keeps you sucked in, even with the trivial scales which lead into the song’s harder-edged regions.

 

This track will be featured on A Common Collapse’s upcoming EP, Devolve, set to drop in 2015. If you haven’t heard of them yet, keep an ear to the ground, because they’re coming at you and you best be ready.
