in. The song is basically Fronz telling all of the people who doubt him and hate on him to fuck off and look at where he is now. One of the best parts of this song, as with many Attila songs, is the guitar solo. Linck’s short but sweet solo makes this song even radder than it already was.
“I’ve Got Your Back” is one of my personal favorites because it just screams “METAL!” with its sick riffs and guitar licks. It’s a very upbeat song with the message that no matter what, people should always support their friends and have their backs. Drummer Sean Heenan nails it on those drum fills and double bass kicks. Though it may not be the heaviest song on the album, it’s definitely a song that’ll get the crowd going crazy at future shows.
My hands-down favorite from this album is “Horsepig.” Why? Because it’s heavy as fuck and it’s a great reminder that you are the controller of your life; that you shouldn’t listen to anyone else’s advice on how to live. The lyrics “The only one who can bring you down is yourself/You’re your own worst enemy” speak loud and clear if you’ve ever had doubts about yourself.
All in all, this is a great album, and it’s a must-have for fans of heavy music. The band is playing a few dates in Texas between their tours in the United Kingdom and Australia, so if you’re one of our overseas readers, find out if the band is coming to a venue near you.
Following a summer of heavy touring, Atlanta, Georgia’s party metal kings Attila came back this past November with their most groundbreaking album to date, Guilty Pleasure. This year, the guys are approaching their tenth anniversary of being a band. And since they started nearly ten years ago, they’ve done nothing but prove the critics wrong.
One of the songs that really got me hooked on this album is the track “Rebel.” From the start, lead guitarist Chris Linck’s opening riff makes it obvious this song is going to be heavy as hell, and that’s proven true when vocalist Chris “Fronz” Fronzak’s screams come
