Kaia - Parallels

Kaia’s voice lays nestled in mellow yet complex piano melodies in her most recent album Parallels. Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Kaia has just released her debut album that is available for only $5 as a digital download on her website.

 

“Bugs Trapped in Amber” is the standout track, conjuring up thoughts of Jurassic Park and jewelry at a park ranger station with the title alone. The lyrics lean toward something else entirely, “I'm carrying your weight in every step/ Like I'm on house arrest.” The song seems to describe the tireless effort to move past sadness.

Kaia is, outside of a talented musician, a philanthropist who uses her talent to raise money for good causes. Most recently she played at the Brink Lounge in Madison, WI for both Second Harvest Food Bank and local music supplies for schools fundraisers.
