It’s that time of day again to get up and into some exhilarating new music!I know, I know, getting up and moving around may not be your favorite thing but I’m sure Runaway Brother will change your mind.

This indie pop band consists of brothers Jacob Lee on vocals and guitar, and Ian Lee on bass, and are completed by friends Charlie Gunn and Mike Pool on guitar, and Ian Phillips banging the drums. This band currently plays in their garage in Cleveland, Ohio where they slap the bass and hit all the right notes as loud as they want, until the neighbors complain of course.

Starting off the 7” teaser is a smooth beat and notes singing to you through the drums and guitar is exactly the way you know Summer/Autumn is going to be an epitome of a good time. The song, "Summer/Autumn,” is about trying new things, which is probably a sign that you should check out this new band.

“Xeric” is about beating yourself up inside due to the fact that you thought someone was someone else in your mind, so in return, you just expect nothing from anyone. Therefore, not only does this song have a beat you can tap your foot to in class, but a song that almost anyone can relate to.

In most songs, you can hear the guitar riff with your ears, but with “Summer/Autumn,” it’s heard with the heart and soul. If I could, I would sing the drum part, but for some reason that’s frowned upon in society, so I’ll just let it repeat over and over in my mind. The vocals in this single will make you wonder if you accidentally put on Pierce the Veil instead of Runaway Brother, which is where you are wrong.

The lively beat for “Summer/Autumn” is appropriate for any party (unless it’s a party for bad music, then don’t even consider playing this), or even in a studious environment. All the instruments and vocals not only play well, but fit perfectly together. Each member may be doing their own thing but when it all comes together, it helps make every note of the song make sense.

If I were given a dollar for every time I listened to “Xeric” today, I would hopefully be in Cleveland right now sitting in Runaway Brother’s garage listening to just this for the rest of the day.

The lyrics that have stuck to me all day was “Channels have changed/ I never really like television anyway.” I’ve always been a fan of finding deep meaning in something simple, and this is the perfect piece to do so.

Besides all the lyric meanings, the beat makes me want to get up and do something with my life, such as dance. The beat sounding similar to those found in All Time Low material will make you want to sing until your lungs give out, and not just the vocals.

Right now you can order Summer/Autumn teaser by Runaway Brother on either black or Electric Blue with Doublemint Haze vinyl for only six dollars! I don’t know about you, but I’m ordering myself two as soon as I can. *Insert Infomercial voice here* Hurry, before supplies run out!
